Food Log – Day 1

Oatmeal with 1 tsp Maple Syrup, 1 tsp Chocolate Chips, Flax, hemp and chia seeds. With apple and Coffee with Cream(2)

Oatmeal is always a good start. Tommy Douglas, arguably the founder of the Canadian Healthcare movement had it everyday for breakfast in Saskatchewan.

I have always liked and it always makes me feel like I am starting my day right. I really prefer it made from scratch as instant oatmeal just isn’t that good.

I made the coffee on my Aeropress, which I really do love, for a quick, tasty, simple to clean cup of coffee. That seemed like an ad – ha! It wasn’t, just appreciating what I have.

For lunch, Christine heated leftover pizza from a week ago. When we are just tired as a family, we order pizza. Usually from Dynamite because we can feed the family and get two lunches for the kids for school for under $40.

After work we left for Niagara to do pictures with Stacey’s Creations who we started seeing for pics when Avery was born – all of our Ontario family pics are taking by her. Christine and Stacey were in school together.

After the pictured we stopped at a highly rated Shawarma shop in Welland. The falafel was good too but the burping was not! I drank a lot of water before bed to stave off hunger cravings. They have been coming on really strong between 9:30 and 11:30 every night. Every time I give in to the cravings I regret it the next morning and often through the night.
